How can you sooth your nervous system?

There is a lot of research about trauma and how it is related to the body and the nervous system.

Soothing and calming the nervous system can aid the mental and physical wellbeing and assist the nervous system to return to its natural state of regulation.

Touch can be used for this soothing and calming process. However, not just any touch or any massage but a very specific method and a specific consultation.

The consultation process includes the bespoke treatment moves agreed between the client and the therapist as well as specific safety measures which enable the client to be fully in charge of the session.


This new way of treatment is called TDT -Trauma Discharge Therapy.

I am pleased to announce, that TDT is now part of the treatments available at Back-InBalance Massage Therapy.

Unfortunately, due to the current national lockdown restrictions, massage appointments are currently on hold; however, why not take this as an opportunity to find out more about TDT, to see if this is the right treatment for you, so you can then book your first session as soon as the lockdown restrictions are lifted.
